Flippant Stray Thoughts for 1/5/2012...

By Paul Jensen,
The State of Tennessee has issued nearly 9,000 photo ID's for the purpose of voting...

Nothing wrong with that...

Just want to make sure I got this right: Metro owns a bunch of golf courses that are losing money, so they are buying private golf courses to convert them into "green space."  Okay, makes perfect sense to me...

Within one week Sears and Macy's announced closings of their Hickory Hollow Mall stores, leaving zero anchor stores.  There will be no more retail in that mall...

So now what is Karl going to do?...

If I need eggs I go to the store or I go to Denny's.  I don't need an egg factory in my back yard...

If you ride the MTA or RTA, bend over.  Fares go up on Friday...

If Democrats wanted a better deal in redistricting, they should have won more legislative seats in the last election...

There was a stabbing inside the Ryman Wednesday night during a Gregg Allman concert...

Goodlettsville-based Dollar General plans to open 625 new stores in 2012, creating more than 6,000 jobs...

Don't those idiots know only Obama and Pelosi can create jobs, and they do it by handing out record numbers of unemployment checks...

Walgreens to people in the military: Screw you...

Something called Smashburger is coming to town...

Foreclosures in the Greater Nashville area were up in October compared to a year ago, so says CoreLogic.  Thank you Barney Frank...

Government Motors is calling home the Chevy Volt crapcan.  All of them...

Lipscomb University will open a satellite campus in Cool Springs...

It took Jordin Tootoo exactly 1 minute and 44 seconds tonight to get revenge on the Dallas Stars player responsible for injuring Shea Weber a week ago.  That revenge included a nice body slam that the packed house in the Gayl Somm Big Tire really enjoyed...

Everyone saw that one coming...

Jeff Fisher has been busy going to interviews this week...

Fisher said he is looking for "a good owner and a good quarterback."  I bet that's right...

Out...
