Middle Tennessee State finished second in the Sun Belt conference with an 8-4 record. Four Sun Belt teams are headed to Bowl games. MTSU is not one of them. Despite being 7-5 and losing to MTSU, the conference recommended Western Kentucky to go bowling.
The conference released a statement claiming MTSU's move to Conference USA had nothing to do with it. Yeah, right...
